Duplo USA, an industry leader in digital print finishing, has announced the launch of its DDC-810 Digital Spot UV Coater, which will be available in Canada, the United States and Latin America. “Since its introduction at Graph Expo 2016, the DDC-810 has created enormous excitement among print service providers,” said the company. “We’re excited to open doors to new opportunities for those printers who have wanted to add elevated spot UV embellishment to their products,” said Anthony Gandara, Product Manager at Duplo USA. “The DDC-810 is an affordable solution that will allow them to creatively add impact and enhance the value of their printed merchandise.”
Utilizing inkjet technology, the DDC-810 can apply a gloss varnish to defined areas of a substrate giving images a raised effect with texture and depth. Its CCD camera recognition system ensures precise image-to-image registration and its PC Controller Software offers an easy-to-use operation, said the OEM. Designed for short-run applications, the DDC-810 can process up to 21 sheets per minute (A3) and paper weights from 157 to 450 gsm (coated paper).
