“The Printing United Alliance Product of the Year competition has always been about recognizing significant innovative technology. Our entire organization is very pleased to receive this validation from the industry professionals,” said Tim Saur, President of Durst North America. “We feel strongly that our products offer print providers the best options for production reliability, while strengthening their workflow operations. We take great pride in being selected as a winner in the distinguished competition.” Durst printing technology and software solutions are designed to be an all-in-one solution while complementing today’s print marketplace.
Open to all Printing United Alliance member suppliers, Product of the Year products are evaluated by a highly qualified panel of expert judges from across the printing industry. This year’s annual contest attracted over 200 entries in 85 categories spanning analogue, digital, output and non-output technologies. “The Product of the Year competition represents the best of the best.” said Ray Weiss, Director of Digital Print Programs at Printing United Alliance.
Durst Rho 2500. The innovative modular production printer is available in three different versions with upgrades possible at any time. The Rho 2500’s new 8 picolitre printheads with variodrop printing technology enables higher resolution of 1,000 dpi, finer printing quality with excellent sharpness, and productivity of over 300 boards per hour. Starting with six printhead rows for the Rho 2500 S model, the Rho 2500 M comprises eight printhead rows, and the Rho 2500 L has 10 printhead rows. Other options include a dual track printing mode and a stacker for ¾ or full skid-to-skid automation.
Durst Rhotex 325. The 126-inch Rhotex 325 dual-purpose fabric & soft-signage printer expands Durst already successful portfolio of high-performance printers for textiles and soft signage. Depending on the application and fabric, the Rhotex 325 can alternate between direct printing and transfer printing with little downtime. This is possible because of new Durst WTS printhead technology, which achieves an exceptionally high quality print using environmentally friendly, water-based dispersion inks for various printing materials, and reaches a printing speed of up to 4,130 square feet per hour.
LiftERP. This “game-changing” software system will completely manage your print business. The software is highly configurable and ever-evolving, so it can accommodate the needs of your business. LiftERP runs entirely in the cloud, and is the only Print MIS/ERP system engineered from the ground up to work on any web browser, mobile device or other Internet-enabled devices throughout your shop. “LiftERP is the only system that can truly enable a successful paperless print shop,” Durst pointed out. Internal staff, sales staff and even customers can access the system from anywhere – to place orders, approve proofs, process invoices and manage the business.
Workflow. Durst Workflow, a “revolutionary” all-in-one solution for the prepress and production process, is a browser-based prepress and print-production solution that combines data preparation, colour management and output preparation to ensure efficient production. It allows for full print-shop automation that brings new levels of efficiency and improves job turnarounds and uptime. The technology is also a complete solution for flexible and productive data that allows for personalized analysis of your print data.
