U.S.-based Mac Papers will become a full-line distributor for Gandy Digital, a global wide-format digital press manufacturer based in Mississauga, Ontario. The agreement solidifies Mac Papers as the exclusive distributor of Gandy Digital’s complete equipment line to customers across the Southeastern United States. The addition augments Mac Papers’ wide-format offerings across several segments, including UV, dye-sublimation and solvent printing.
Mac Papers will now offer Gandy Digital’s range of UV hybrids, UV high-capacity production printers, direct-to-textile dye-sublimation printers and roll-to-roll printers. Additionally, the company will now carry Gandy Digital’s full line of proprietary inks.
“Our relationship with Gandy Digital aligns with Mac Papers’ long-term strategy of offering a full range of solutions in every wide-format segment,” said Martin Davis, Director of Wide Format & Graphics at Mac Papers. “Delivering Gandy Digital’s innovative print technology through our distribution network and service offering further legitimizes Mac Papers as a leading partner for entry-level through to high-volume print providers.”
Along with participating in a full Gandy Digital training program, Mac Papers technicians and wide-format specialists will provide on-site installation and workflow expertise while offering a wide range of substrates compatible with Gandy Digital’s equipment – including rigid materials, banner rolls and fabrics. In support of the partnership, Mac Papers will feature Gandy Digital’s equipment at the SGIA Expo, November 4-6 in Atlanta, Georgia, providing visitors with live demonstrations of Gandy’s entry-level Sl8te UV Hybrid printer.
“Gandy Digital is proud to partner with Mac Papers in the Southeastern U.S and add our line-up of flatbed, hybrid, textile, and roll-to-roll printers to its portfolio,” said Hary Gandy, President Gandy Digital. “Printers today want to expand their business opportunities and grow into new markets through wide format. We look forward to delivering to them cutting-edge technology through Mac Papers’ logistics platform.”
