Hazen Paper showcases Phantom Options in new sample book

A new sample book from Hazen Paper Company (Holyoke, MA) titled Phantom Options, demonstrates innovative capabilities with samples of products that brand owners and packaging designers can use to differentiate and enhance their brands. Introduced recently at Luxe Pack New York, the new sample book includes a selection of Hazen Multi-Ply swatches, bound to show the front and back, side by side. Multi-Ply is a duplex stock constructed of two pasted paper layers – one white solid bleached sulfate (SBS) and the other a pulp-dyed kraft paper available in a variety of colours. “Offered in calipers from 16-pt. to 28-pt., Multi-Ply offers rigidity and durability ideal for adding brand value,” said the company. “But that’s just the foundation. With Hazen’s prowess in holography, lamination and embossing, the creative possibilities are endless.”
Hazen laminates metallized and holographic film to the white side of Multi-Ply and embosses the coloured side with any of a hundred patterns. The result is a “truly unique packaging option that promotes consumer fascination inside and out.” Designers may choose to create a come-hither wow by using holography on the outside to attract and engage consumers visually. Then when consumers open the package, they’re further engaged by colour and textural embellishments. Designers may opt for a holographic interior instead. Either way, Phantom Options guarantee extended interaction – “it’s hard to put a package like this down,” said the company. The sample book presents a number of swatches for inspiration. The variables of holographic effect, colour, texture, and weight “deliver limitless combinations. “Hazen Holography is available in a wide array of patterns and can be fully customized in Hazen’s holographic lab. As displayed by the vivid red holographic cover of the sample book, the holography can also be tinted. Covert security features can also be added to the design. Product configurations not shown in Phantom Options can also be developed with specific holographic patterns, embossing and colours.
