The International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA), a global trade association for card manufacturers, personalizers, issuers and suppliers, has announced that its Card Manufacturing & Personalization Expo – and 25th anniversary celebration – will be March 29 to April 1 at the Arizona Grand Resort & Sap in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the industry’s only major card-focused event. For 25 years, the EXPO has been the meeting place for industry professionals from across North America to network and discuss changing technologies, developments and products.
“Twenty-five years ago, ICMA began with just a handful of members and has now grown to nearly 240 members worldwide,” said Jeffrey Barnhart, ICMA Founder and Executive Director (pictured previously). “It’s exciting to see how far we’ve come as an association, and I look forward to seeing how we change along with the industry.”
This year’s Expo includes “dynamic” speakers and sessions for members. Pop-up learning sessions, a new ICMA feature, will also be unveiled. These brief, 20-minute presentations will focus on need-to-know topics that are affecting the card industry today, such as access control and new manufacturing techniques. In addition, ICMA will continue its two popular learning tracks – one for those in the personalization and fulfillment area and the other focused on card manufacturing. Those sessions will take place on Tuesday, March 31.
Visitors will also hear from the Expo’s keynote speaker, Jack Uldrich of Global Futurist, as he discusses Foresight 20/20: Ten Trends Transforming Tomorrow. While no one can predict the future Uldrich’s presentation will help attendees prepare for it.
