Komori America Corporation (Rolling Meadows, Illinois) will unveil its newest offset press line, Advance, at a virtual event being held tomorrow, January 19 from 10 am to 11 am Central Standard Time (CST), which is 11 am to noon Eastern Standard Time (EST) and 8 am to 9 am Pacific Standard Time (PST). The Advance line, built on the OEM’s existing GL and GLX press platforms, features enhanced automation powered by Komori’s KP-Connect Pro workflow system to allow for virtually “lights-out production with fewer operator touchpoints, addressing the industry-wide challenge of finding skilled press operators,” said the company. “The Advance presses represent Komori’s commitment to continuous innovation and are currently being manufactured in Japan with shipments beginning in late spring of this year.”
During the virtual event, T. Kubotera, President of Komori America, will provide remarks on the company’s nearly 100-year history and vision of what’s to come. This will include a discussion of Komori’s recent acquisition and integration of MBO Group – a manufacturer of post-press production products, and how the move fits into the process of Komori’s connected automation platform.
Doug Schardt, Komori America’s Director of Product Management, will present the features of the Advance press line, which is ideal for both packaging and commercial print production. During the event, attendees are encouraged to ask questions as the Komori staff will be on hand to answer them. Also, Komori customers will make an appearance to share their experiences working with the company. In an effort to eliminate “Zoom fatigue,” the event is designed to be fast-paced and fun, and will include contests and prizes. Komori is urging those interested to sign up as soon as possible as space is limited. For more information please visit the Komori America website and click “News.”
