Lamp Express releases new UV metre to determine lamp health

The Lextractor.

Lamp Express (Morganton, North Carolina) has rolled out its new UV metre – The Lextractor – that makes it much easier to read a UV metre. “Users no longer need to decipher cryptic numbers that deal with milliwatts, millijoules and other complex scientific language,” said the OEM. “Instead, The Lextractor simply shows you the health of your lamp.” Basically, users install the fibre-optic coupling on their compatible UV equipment, and connect that to The Lextractor for fast and accurate UV readings. Weekly checks are recommended. If green bars are visible, your device is good to go. If users see orange bars, it’s time to order replacement bulbs to keep your production running smoothly. The technology is especially helpful for commercial and 3D printers, as well as for those who use UV equipment in their production processes, such as offset and flexo shops.
