Mimaki Canada’s Future of Fabrics seminar held Thursday, January 17 at its head office and showroom in Concord, Ontario, drew over 80 pre-registered attendees – but many more showed up during the day. Officials from Mimaki and Imaging Alignment Corporation (IMAC) discussed how to expand a printer’s business opportunities with the OEM’s product lines. Live demonstrations of Mimaki dye-sublimation printers and direct-to-textile printers, as well as its UV-LED and eco-solvent printers, were held. Technical specialists also discussed fabric and textile-printing technologies we can expect in the future.
Presentations from Lucas Crossley (Mimaki Regional Manager for Canada), Victoria Nelson-Hall (Mimaki Textile Application Specialist), Ryosuke Nakayama (Mimaki Manager of Textile Apparel Development), and IMAC President and owner Al Whittaker, were extremely informative. IMAC (Woodbridge, Ontario), established in 1996, specializes in providing wide-format inkjet solutions, laminators, colour management systems, printable display materials and Rips.
