The best in print will be honoured at the OPIA Excellence In Print Awards Night on Thursday, May 25 at the St. George’s Golf and Country Club located at 1668 Islington Avenue in Etobicoke, Ontario. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the awards 8:30 p.m. This is your chance to meet with your peers and honour the accomplishments of the best in our industry. It’s one of the top celebrations with great food and entertainment in wonderful surroundings. The keynote address will feature Jesse Hirsh, a technology expert and futurist who has recently been featured on CBC Radio. He’ll explore themes of leadership and innovation, while offering up practical solutions for organizations trying to get a head start on how things are going and how fast they’re moving.
According to Hirsh, the economy of the future is smart, fast, exciting and full of opportunities, provided you’re willing to pay attention and be prepared. As the Internet Era reaches maturity, and the rise of Artificial Intelligence accelerates, we can see glimpses of what the “Economy of the Future” entails. What kind of impact will robots, automation and multiple Internets have on your business? What kind of society can we build using citizen science and learning resources?
