The Digital Imaging Association (DIA) will celebrate 30 successful years Wednesday, October 18, and has planned a very special event to mark this milestone – an evening of fun, fabulous food, education and wine. Please consider bringing your partner or a guest along as it promises to be a truly enjoyable evening. Also, there’s lots of free parking! A unique evening will be presented by Chef John Cirillo, owner of the premier culinary training facility of his own design (see above) in Toronto. He’s an active member of the Canadian Federation of Chefs and Cooks, Escoffier Society of Toronto, and the international organization, Les Toques Blanches.
DIA members will be divided into teams and with Chef John’s skillful oversight, each team with prepare a portion of the meal attendees will all enjoy. Chef John has prepared a unique Canadian-themed Menu that includes Atlantic Canada Bay of Fundy Salmon, Seafood and Tomato, Corn Veloute – OR – Alberta Smoked Bacon Wrapped Beef Tenderloin with Whisky Jus, Barley and Cranberry Risotto, Glazed Golden Beets and Fine Beans. For dessert, from Ontario and Quebec, will be Maple Infused Apple Rose in Puffy Pastry with Blueberry Compote. Are you hungry yet? Refreshments will be served at 6 pm with dinner at 7 pm. It’s all happening at Cirillo’s Culinary Academy, 4984 Dundas St. W. in Etobicoke, Ontario. Cost is $175 per person.
