The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC - Springfield, MA) will hold its first online Fall Meeting & Growth Conference from Wednesday, October 14 to Friday, October 16, 2020. With sessions for all employees and functional areas of paperboard packaging companies, the meeting will cover crucial topics – including diversity and inclusion, economic trends, and the latest in design and development. Keynoting the conference will be Michael Doss, President and CEO of Graphic Packaging International, who will offer his insights on the state of the industry. Also headlining the event are Mark King, Vice-President of Global Diversity & Inclusion at WestRock, and Jeff Rosensweig, Economist and Professor at Emory University, who will offer the latest economic forecast for folding cartons.
“While we won’t be meeting in Savannah as originally planned, I’m looking forward to seeing our membership come together virtually,” said Ben Markens, PPC President. “Going virtual has also allowed us to give our converter members new value for employees at every level of their organizations. We’ve implemented an enterprise registration so companies can affordably send three or more staff members.” The meeting’s virtual platform has also opened the door to another new opportunity – PPC’s first virtual tradeshow. “A must-attend for plant employees who would have attended Drupa, the virtual tradeshow will allow boxmakers to learn about the latest technologies and products from industry suppliers who can connect in live-time with the attendees who visit their virtual booths,” the PPC added.
The PPC 2020 Fall Meeting will also feature an awards ceremony for the winners of its North American Paperboard Packaging Competition, as well as the winners of the 2020 Paperboard Packaging Alliance Student Design Challenge. This year will also feature a virtual panel and live Q&A with the designers of the top packages. To learn more or to register, please visit the PPC website. Now in its 91st year, the PPC is a North American association for converters of paperboard packaging and their suppliers. PPC works to grow, promote and protect the paperboard packaging industry, while providing its members with resources and tools to compete successfully in the marketplace.
