Presstek’s Kilgallon expands role to support newspaper groups

Presstek, a leading provider of eco-friendly printing solutions, has announced the new role of industry veteran Patrick Kilgallon as the company’s Corporate Account Manager for Newspaper Groups in Canada and the U.S. As a preferred supplier to newspaper groups and buying cooperatives, Presstek created this role to provide the newspaper community with a dedicated resource for all its prepress needs, said the company.
Kilgallon is a newspaper industry veteran with a proven track record of driving down costs while improving the quality of newspapers’ finished products. He’ll be available for information and advice about printing solutions and technologies for this market’s evolving needs.

Before joining Presstek in 2013, Kilgallon managed the technology department for the Erie Times Publishing Company for nearly 30 years. He was awarded the Edward Thomas Distinguished Service Memorial Award in 2013, and championed the newspaper market through his contributions as Conference Chair for America East. Kilgallon will be supported by a worldwide Presstek team of application specialists, driving the latest advancements in eco-friendly plates and CTP systems – including thermal, chemistry-free, violet and waterless technologies under the brand names Nytro Newz, GemPlate Newz, NuVio Newz and Zahara Newz.
Presstek’s core product portfolio includes 4-colour to 6-colour DI Digital Offset Presses, thermal, violet, and inkjet CTP systems, and printing plates for DI presses and CTP applications (waterless, thermal, and violet). DI presses and thermal CTP systems are offered as new systems and certified pre-owned. In addition to product offerings, Presstek is a multi-vendor service provider with a global network of expert service technicians supporting pre-press, press and post-press equipment – including Presstek brands and other well-known industry brands.
