PrintFleet receives Editor’s Choice Award for its DCA Pulse

PrintFleet (Kingston, Ontario) a global leader in print device monitoring software and solutions, has received an Editor’s Choice Award for its DCA Pulse, from the UK’s leading channel publication, Print.IT Reseller Magazine. The awards are based on three criteria – excellence in design, innovation and functionality. DCA Pulse was chosen on the basis of its functionality and its innovative approach to data collection. It offers customers more “exact information” on fields such as “industry standard labels” and allows more “target device-specific information.”
“DCA Pulse is a complete re-think of nearly all aspects of our data collection process, and is based on the extensive experience the PrintFleet team has working with data collection on hundreds of thousands of different networks and configurations,” said Greg MacLellan, Director of Software Architecture at PrintFleet. “In addition to addressing some of the long-standing challenges customers have had with previous generation DCAs, the new design gives us a platform to handle increasingly complex print environments and provide many new features and capabilities.”
PrintFleet’s newest DCA data collection technology features several enhancements designed to improve the overall performance efficiency of PrintFleet’s traditional DCA, while addressing industry-wide problems with standardization. Key features of DCA Pulse include the introduction of model definition files, custom scan intervals, differential data transmission, and its cross-platform capabilities. “We’re thrilled to receive the Editor’s Choice Award from Print.IT Reseller Magazine for DCA Pulse,” said Chris McFarlane, President & CEO of PrintFleet. “DCA Pulse has been three years in the making for us and we’re very pleased with the initial reception in market. We believe that Pulse will increase the ubiquity of data collection for all businesses in the channel by reducing maintenance and deployment costs, and making data collection available for users in a variety of operating environments.”
