Registration open for Ryerson’s April 3 Colloquium “Evolve: Start-ups, Mergers & Acquisitions in the Graphic Arts Industry”

Students in the Graphic Communications Management (GCM) program at Toronto’s Ryerson University are hosting their annual Colloquium and Business Plan Expo – a yearly opportunity for industry professionals and current students to discuss relevant issues and connect with like-minded peers. This year’s topic is Evolve: Start-ups, Mergers & Acquisitions in the Graphic Arts Industry. It will take place Tuesday, April 3, 2018. This year, both the Colloquium and the Business Plan Expo have been combined into one large “super-networking” event hosted under the same roof – at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (formerly Maple Leaf Gardens, located at 50 Carlton Street with low-cost underground parking available) in downtown Toronto. Alternative parking will be available at 412 Church Street (Canada Auto Parks). The GCM Business Plan Expo will take place from 4 pm to 8 pm and the GCM Colloquium will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Ryerson’s annual GCM Colloquium is an evening event organized by student volunteers featuring keynote addresses from printing industry experts, panel discussions and an information reception. This year’s keynote addresses include Jay Mandarino, President of CJ Graphics Group, Deanne Sinclair of Cambridge Label, and Peter Ha and Rhodi Iliadou of Equal Parts Studio. The event is an excellent opportunity for students and industry members alike to broaden their knowledge, share their experiences, and build lasting network connections. GCM’s Business Plan Expo is a chance to discover the innovative business ideas of over 140 talented graduating students. Ryerson’s 4th year GCM students have been planning new businesses in the graphic arts industry and are very excited to share them with you at this event.
