Ryerson Job Fair set for March 21 – with March 8 deadline

Ryerson University’s Graphic Communications Management (GCM) Job Fair is an employer’s opportunity to connect with talented students seeking summer internships or full-time career positions. Last year, 70 companies conducted interviews. The popular annual event is free to attend, but registration is required. The Job Fair provides time for both structured interviews and open networking. Employers can expect to directly interview about 19 students – 11 potential interns and 8 graduating students – and collect resumés from as many other students as they wish.

Ryerson University’s annual Graphic Communications Management Job Fair has always been a popular event.

Interns are generally finishing their third year and are looking for full-time work from May to August. They’re required to complete at least 420 hours of work before graduation. Internships must be paid, with the final salary negotiated between the company and the student. The Job Fair will take place Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (Formerly Maple Leaf Gardens), 50 Carlton Street in downtown Toronto. For more information please contact Taras Karpiuk at gcmadmin@ryerson.ca.
To register please visit GCM JOB FAIR 2019, external link. You should receive a confirmation once you complete your online registration. And you’ll receive a full information package approximately a week before the event. Please note that organizers prefer that all students attending should have equal interview opportunities. Therefore, if you’ve already registered for the Job Fair, please refrain from contacting any individual students before the event. If you happen to fill the position, or would like to withdraw your registration from the Job Fair, please contact gcmadmin@ryerson.ca.
The deadline to register for Ryerson’s 2019 Job Fair is this Friday, March 8, 2019.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
3 p.m. Registration and table set-up.
4 p.m. Graduate interviews. Speed-interview format, with 12 minutes for each interview. A loud gong will signal the end of each interview round.
6 p.m. Dinner.
