Crawford Technologies introduces Automated Tagging

Toronto’s Crawford Technologies’ Auto Tagger for Accessibility is the first solution on the market that easily and cost-effectively converts ad-hoc customer communications to accessible PDF or HTML in real time. The company’s newest document-accessibility solution automates the process of creating documents that can be recognized by ‘assistive’ technologies, making it fast and easy to convert unstructured documents to accessible PDF or HTML in real time – reducing the time needed for a specialist or designer. The solution is the first on the market to easily and cost effectively address the need for creating ADA and Section 508 compliant ad-hoc communications – such as letters, notices, marketing documents, books, manuals, contracts and legal documents.

The solution eliminates the manual remediation/tagging step by automatically using intelligent algorithms, thus significantly cutting costs. Additionally, turnaround time can be reduced from days to minutes. Auto Tagger for Accessibility can be used in a standalone mode, where it can be integrated with any document-management system. It can also be used in conjunction with Crawford Technologies’ rules-based solutions to handle free-form documents, as well as free-form portions of structured documents.
“We’re very proud to introduce a solution that extends CrawfordTech MasterONE accessibility software with the ability to handle with ease, all types of communications within an enterprise,” said Ernie Crawford, President and CEO of Crawford Technologies. “Auto Tagger for Accessibility’s automated functionality makes it possible for organizations to provide customers and employees with communications that meet their exact needs.”
