The 2016 SGIA Expo taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, September 14 – 16 is quickly approaching. The event will showcase the latest technologies and applications to enter the specialty imaging marketplace. Attendees will have three days to navigate through hundreds of booths on the sold-out show floor, talk to industry experts face to face, discover new products and experience live equipment demonstrations and samples. Also on the floor will be the Garment Zone, featuring both screen and digital garment decoration, special-effect techniques and interactive solutions. Another popular area will be Educator Row, where post-secondary schools will be showcasing not only their educational programs, but also their students – in other words, your potential future employees.
New this year is the Expo + Education Pass, giving attendees full access to more than 40 educational sessions taught by leaders in the industry. (Note: The pass does’t include Symposium/Conference presentations, PDAA workshops, Wide-Format 101 or OSHA training program). The show’s four educational tracks include Graphics and Signage, Garment Decoration, Business Management and Colour Management and Workflow.
Specialty imaging comprises digital imaging, screen printing and the many other imaging technologies SGIA members use, including future technologies. These are the imaging processes and technologies that create new products and enhance existing ones – including point-of-purchase displays, printed electronics, membrane switches, signs, advertisements, garments, containers, vehicles and much more.
