SoOPAK, a leading short-run offset North American packaging specialist headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, showcased its food packaging samples and short-run printing capabilities to the largest crowd ever at the Summer Fancy Food Show held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City in late June. The show, presented by the Specialty Food Association, occupied the largest exhibit space since it was established in 1954. More than 2,670 exhibitors filled the halls (the equivalent of six football fields) with the latest in specialty food and beverages from across the U.S. and 55 other countries.
“This is our second year at the Summer Fancy Food Show and it was a success for SoOPAK to reach this many potential customers,” said YaJun (Carol) Jiang, President of SoOPAK. “While artisan food manufacturers are proud of what they’ve produced for the market, it’s just as important to make sure that the food is delivered in a secure package that mirrors the manufacturer’s message and entices the buyer to try the food. We understand that their products are carefully crafted and we want our packaging to carefully protect it. Packaging is just as important as the product inside. We have a strong reputation working with our customers and tailoring solutions to fit their specific needs. The show allows us to reflect our company’s commitment to fulfilling a critical need in this fast-growing market.”
SoOPAK’s short-run capabilities can produce as little as 500 boxes with a 10-day to 15-day turnaround. The company also offers custom sizes, styles and creative design “This particular show is a perfect fit for our packaging solutions. These manufacturers need small yet complex packages for their products and we can partner with them to increase their speed to market,” Jiang added. “We were delighted to meet so many innovative and exciting food and beverage manufacturers at the show.”
