Print-finishing leader Sydney Stone (Mississauga, Ontario), Canada’s exclusive Morgana dealer, has announced the North American release of the Morgana AutoCreaser Pro XL. Featuring Morgana’s new Adaptive Process Control (APC) that monitors sheet feeding in an efficient, closed-loop process, the Pro XL “delivers outstanding performance and reliability’ and is specifically designed to handle the widest range of media. Its feeder continuously checks the paper float zone and automatically makes adjustments on the fly. The company added that this is an industry first for a product of this class and ensures the highest feed reliability – and that operators of all skill levels can get the most out of the machine.
“The new feeder system with the Adaptive Process Control that monitors sheet feeding in a closed-loop process is outstanding,” said Stephen Longmire, National Sales Manager at Sydney Stone. “This allows for the widest range of media handling and can adjust on the fly by monitoring the paper float zone. The intuitive user interface allows for operators of all skill levels to run jobs from the alpha-numeric memory with ease.” Running at a maximum of 8,500 A4 sheets per hour with no loss of accuracy, this is Sydney Stone’s most productive creaser to date and can accommodate a sheet size of 385 mm x 1,300 mm with a table extension that comes as standard.
The new AutoCreaser Pro XL can be linked to the AutoFold Pro to provide an even more complete finishing solution. The AutoFold Pro is an automatic folding system designed specifically for the professional printer for folding of digital stocks. It uses patented “Flying Knife” technology developed to prevent scuffing and marking on digital media. The AutoFold Pro is simply wheeled up to any creaser and the height of its vacuum-feed conveyor adjusts to the height of the creaser. Rotary perforation comes standard on the AutoCreaser Pro range with a wide variety of wheels available to suit all requirements. An optional cross-perforating unit can be added for more complex jobs. Multiple perforation layouts can also be achieved with the cross-perforation option.
