Toronto and Florida companies earn Xplor 2016 Technology and Application Awards

Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, has announced the winners of its 2016 Technology and Application of the Year Awards. The awards are being presented today at the Xploration 16 event at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Florida.
xplorawards2016-inThe Application of the Year Award is presented to an individual, a company or an organization to recognize outstanding achievement in the imaginative application of current technology and/or unique implementation of existing document and communication systems. This award is open to members and non-members. This year’s winner is Incepture Print Solutions White Paper Factory (Jacksonville, Florida), a printing and mailing fulfillment company founded in 2012. The implementation of its White Paper Factory represents up to 55% savings by eliminating excessive equipment costs, 59% savings on supply costs and 17% savings on postage expenses. The White Paper Factory also benefited from full-colour printing, including the mailing envelope and the ability to offer customizable marketing space, available in full colour on each mailing envelope.
xplorawards2016a-inThe Technology of the Year Award honours an individual, company or organization that has conceived and developed an original concept leading to a significant advancement in the industry. This can be a new program, product, or technology that notably enhances the capabilities of document and communication systems. The 2016 winner is Crawford Technologies (Toronto, Ontario) for its Voiceye for Operations Express, which makes printed documents fully accessible to people with vision disabilities, while ensuring compliance with current accessibility regulations. Clients who require an accessible document format can receive their communications at the same time as sighted individuals – without the need to make a special request, be subject to a delay, or to disclose their specific disability.
Xplor International will also be announcing the recipients of the Xplorer of the Year and Brian Platte Lifetime Achievement awards later today, along with several honourable mentions in specific categories because of the huge number of submissions.
