Absolute Inkjet (Glenview, Illinois), a manufacturer of digital inks and media, has launched Sublim8 Inks that “enable any Epson wide-format printer to be ‘converted’ into a dye-sublimation printer.” The company said that users of standard Epson wide-format printers can now “re-purpose” their printer at a much lower cost compared to purchasing a bespoke sublimation model. Sublim8 Inks produce vivid colours, have excellent fade resistance, and can be supplied in ready-to-use cartridges or in bulk for use with refillable bulk-ink systems. To ensure a smooth printer changeover, Sublim8 cleaning products and conversion guides are supplied along with free ICC colour profiles to ensure accurate colours.
