Designed to enable digital printers to leverage their Xerox Nuvera presses “for jobs once dominated by offset printing”, a new Ultra Lightweight Stock Printing Kit for Xerox Nuvera Production Systems has now been made available worldwide by the OEM. “Black & white, large-volume printing may seem as nuanced as the original printing press, yet it accounted for nearly 360 billion page images in 2018,” said Ragni Mehta, Vice President of Xerox’s Production Cut Sheet Business. “Xerox continually advances its technology to offer more avenues for digital printers to scale into thriving markets.”
Kit installations are now available worldwide for the Xerox Nuvera 1XX EA Series and the Xerox Nuvera 200/288/314 EA. The Kit transforms select configurations of Xerox Nuvera Production Printing Systems to feed and stack stocks as low as 44 gsm and at a sheet size of 12” x 18” – an unprecedented capability for digital monochrome printing, said Xerox. The new feature unlocks new opportunities for those who consider weight and size critical variables when optimizing operational costs associated with shipping and carrying. Xerox also offers pre-qualified stock recommendations for its Ultra Lightweight Stock Printing Kit. For customers using an unqualified media, Xerox offers a 5,000-sheet test with unqualified stock “to ensure that the signature productivity, quality and economics of Xerox’s Nuvera Production Printing System remains uncompromised.”
