Avanti wins three Red Hot Technology Awards from PRINT 19

Toronto’s Avanti Computer Systems, a leader in Print MIS solutions, has announced that three of its most recent innovations have earned “Red Hot” Technology Awards in conjunction with the PRINT 19 tradeshow and conference. They’ll be displayed at the company’s PRINT 19 exhibit (booth 436) from October 3 – 5 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. “The development of Avanti Slingshot has always been driven by the needs of our customers,” said Avanti President and CEO Patrick Bolan. “And, each of these awards recognizes new functionality that came directly from our users.”
The first Red Hot Award addresses the profitable and fast-growing wide-format and grand-format printing segment of the industry. As more and more print shops begin to offer wide-format and grand-format applications, the need for a highly functional MIS has grown. In response, Avanti will announce at PRINT 19 that Slingshot now supports two popular wide-format raster-image processors (RIPs) – Onyx 19 and Caldera.
Avanti Slingshot’s Advanced Fulfillment Workflow was also recognized with a “Red Hot” Award for its expanding functionality. The module now tracks expiration dates for inventory, and flags outdated items for removal. Users also have the ability to be notified when stock drops below a pre-set threshold – to track and fulfill back orders and to identify pick charges on customer invoices.
Avanti Slingshot’s new XML Loader for Web-to-Print (W2P) was also recognized for its tight integration with third-party W2P platforms. The integration enables automatic data transfer between the W2P system and Avanti Slingshot, as well as shipping details such as status and tracking number to the W2P when the job is shipped through Avanti Slingshot. Re-keying of information is no longer needed, thus reducing turnaround times and eliminating any errors.
