Solimar Systems (San Diego, California) has released its Solimar Print Director Enterprise (SPDE) Version 9.0, featuring powerful new PDF optimization and secure-printing capabilities. SPDE is a flexible enterprise output management system with extensive connectivity, data-stream conversion and workflow automation capabilities for high-volume, variable-data printing. The new highlights of the software include:

• Dispatcher Command-line Interface
• Task Scheduling features
• Regular Expression support
• IPP Input and Output modules for secure IPP-based printing
• Windows Server 2019 support
The ReadyPDF module delivers “critical” resource and content optimization capability for high-volume printing and e-delivery, including variable marketing and transactional workflows, said the company. ReadyPDF functionality includes font embedding, substitution and consolidation, colour conversion, transparency flattening, image down-sampling and much more.
