Duplo USA (Santa Ana, California), a leading global provider of print-finishing equipment, has introduced new products to its booklet maker, duplicator and cutter lines. Characterized by Duplo as “the world’s smallest fully-automatic booklet maker and trimmer,” the Duplo 150 Booklet System is ideal for low-volume to mid-volume runs, and offers an entry-level solution for print providers considering bringing their booklet making in-house. With production speeds of up to 2,400 booklets per hour, the new system can perform saddle and corner/side stapling of up to 25 sheets. Users can go from a letter-size job to a CD-size booklet within minutes.
The Duplo DP-X850 Digital Duplicator is a new, low maintenance model with significantly improved performance and a fresh, compact look. Designed to handle long runs that certain industry sectors require, and at faster speeds, the DP-X850 prints documents at 600 dpi at up to 200 sheets per minute on up to an A3 image area. A full-colour touchpanel makes operation more user friendly. An indicator for master settings and other operations have been visually enriched.
The programmable Duplo HC-550i Hydraulic Cutter comes with “operational and safety features not found in similar cutters of this size,” said the OEM. These features include a rail back gauge system, UL certification, and a 10” touchscreen control panel. It effortlessly cuts through large stacks of paper up to 21.6” wide and can finish postcards, direct mail and perfect-bound books up to 3.5” in height. The HC-550i also comes barcode-ready to instantly retrieve any pre-programmed job.
