Aurora Specialty Textiles Group (Yorkville, Illinois) has introduced Expressions Semi-Gloss Décor Canvas, the latest addition to the company’s new Expressions canvas line. High volume printers in particular, said the company, see Expressions Décor as an outstanding, cost-effective option. “Expressions Décor is lighter weight and lower cost than comparable canvas products – but printers don’t have to sacrifice colour quality and print output,” said Mark Shaneyfelt, Director of Printable Textiles Sales and Marketing at Aurora. “Expressions Décor is an ideal medium for print reproductions sold through mid-range retailers, and used in mid-range hotel chains and office settings. We have interest across the full Expressions Canvas line, with Décor being one example,” he added. “Printers also appreciate the fact that we’re continually expanding our Expressions offerings to meet different segments of the market.” Last February, Mohawk collaborated with Aurora to launch a line of textiles for digital printing called Mohawk Printable Textiles and Canvas, Engineered by Aurora.
Expressions Semi-Gloss Décor Canvas is a lightweight, 100% polyester, high-output canvas that utilizes Expression’s proprietary, enhanced acrylic coating for excellent ink coverage. Although lightweight, colour output has not been sacrificed, the company added. In fact, said Aurora, Expressions Semi-Gloss Décor Canvas has been engineered to deliver a wide colour gamut and vibrant, eye-popping colour, combined with a much higher level of consistent printability than comparable canvas print products. “Expressions Semi-Gloss Décor Canvas competes with inexpensive commodity canvas products. But with Expressions Semi-Gloss Décor, printers don’t have to sacrifice print quality or print output, or worry about costly coating inconsistencies.” Expressions Semi-Gloss Décor Canvas is the latest addition to Aurora’s Expressions Canvas line, which includes the full range of gloss levels “designed to meet the majority of the canvas market’s printing needs.” The Expressions Canvas line includes Expressions Matte, Expressions Satin, Expressions Semi-Gloss, Expressions Gloss – and now Expressions Semi-Gloss Décor.
