Capital Colour located in Edmonton, Alberta, has become the most recent commercial printer to install a new Avalon N4-14S CtP platemaking system from Agfa Graphics Canada (Mississauga, Ontario). Established in 1979, Capital Colour is a full-service print provider with a team of more than twenty. Specializing in digital, wide-format, mailing campaigns, bindery and graphic design, the company handles everything from brochures and magazines to direct-mail campaigns, packaging, banners, backlit displays, posters, POP, signage and more. Capital Colour also uses Agfa Azura TS chemistry-free plates and Apogee workflow and is a member of Greenworks, an Agfa Graphics initiative that accredits customers in the graphic communications industry in North America who find success using green technology, products, services and practices.
Ideal for commercial and packaging printers, The Avalon N4 thermal CtP system gives users automation and imaging capabilities of larger devices in a compact format. It can produce plates up to 830 x 660 mm, with a maximum throughput level up to 33 plates per hour. Each model comes with an optional inline punching system and standard Ethernet connection, providing direct interfacing with the Apogee workflow.
