Contex (Chantilly, VA), a leader of wide-format scanning and imaging solutions, has updated its SD One MF wide-format scanner. The market’s first wireless connected scanner now allows users to connect a CPU with Nextimage scanning software, “giving an entry-level scanner a big boost of productivity and flexibility,” said the company. The updated SD One MF can provide greater speeds, editing and processing capabilities, and is now available from distributors globally. SD One MF customers who already purchased the scanner in 2017 are eligible for the free update.

The SD One MF is Contex’s most portable and flexible wide-format scanner that “turns printers into multi-function systems.” It ranges from 24” – 44” wide, and is convenient to take to take to job sites to capture re-work, annotate scans, or digitize hand-drawn sketches. WIFI-enabled and equipped with a touchscreen tablet, users can scan to any destination or print remotely. With the new ability to add a CPU with Nextimage, customers gain more scanning productivity and flexibility. They can scan in colour or restore monochrome originals with the use of unique adaptive filters and advanced background suppression. SD One MF users can also capture the longest originals in the industry with this update, Contex added.
