Toronto-based Crawford Technologies’ newest solution, Data Extractor Express, is a “groundbreaking product” that enables access to large amounts of data stored in ECM solutions, and then prepares it for reuse in analytics applications. Characterized as “the first solution of its kind,” it offers the unique ability to retrieve customer and business data points spanning years of activity, providing a complete picture for analysis. Data Extraction Express is a purpose-built application that allows knowledge workers to specify a set of documents from which data will be extracted. It has the capability of processing millions of invoices, statements, bills, reports and other documents. Using business rules, it extracts documents from archives – such as the IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) – for analysis. Those documents are interrogated to pull out pertinent data for analysis in big data and analytics tools.
