Digital Sign Technologies (DST, Mississauga, Ontario) has released the newest model in its flagship Print Head Doctor print head cleaning machine. Print Head Doctor 14 (PHD14) comes with high-performance Swiss pumps by KNF Neuberger, allowing the machine to reach higher flow and pressure. The XL version allows it to clean up to 6 print heads at once. PHD14 can ‘recover’ several print heads at a time – for example, two Kyocera KJ4 series heads or six Dimatix S-Class heads. It also has reverse-flushing capabilities, electronically controlled pressure and fluid temperature, and two-stage filtration with a total of 6 filters. Adapters are available for most types of inkjet print heads, and the company offers a range of recovery chemicals for UV curable, solvent, eco-solvent and water-based print heads.
Digital Sign Technologies also supplies ink cartridges and ink bags, chip chargers, print heads, bulk inks and bulk ink systems, dye sub and latex inks, ink chips, maintenance fluids, accessories, ink degassing, printer recovery, 3D printing materials, and more. The company added that using its machines “can users save thousands of dollars associated with print head cleaning and replacement fees.” DST has over 15 years’ experience in the wide-format printing industry.
