Engineered Printing Solutions (EPS, East Dorset, VT), a leading manufacturer of custom industrial inkjet printers, will launch its new Roto-JET Industrial Inkjet Printer – “the latest advancement in cylindrical object printing” – at Pack Expo 2017, September 25-27, 2017 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Roto-JET is a multi-colour, UV-LED high-resolution printer that offers state-of-the-art digital printing technology. It’s designed specifically for decorating cylindrical objects – including those that are flat-walled or tapered – and is therefore an ideal printer for companies producing promotional products, craft brewers, wineries and advertising specialty companies looking to offer their customers a short-run option at greater production speeds. With an average speed of 800 parts per hour (pph), the Roto-JET features a synchronized printing and curing operation that prints full CMYKWW, with optional primer and varnish printheads available. Easy to load and unload, the new system can accommodate either manual or automatic operation. In addition, its elliptical-style racetrack transport system and vertical design keeps the printer within a manageable footprint, said the OEM.
The Roto-JET is built for continuous production. Among its benefits, said EPS, is the fact that it provides four times the production capability for twice the cost of the nearest competitor’s machine. “We’ve developed the Roto-JET in response to customer demand,” said Tim Scully, VP of Sales at EPS. “Several of our long-standing customers approached us separately, each requesting a solution designed to triple the volumes they’re able to produce on their single-feed systems, at a manageable price point.” Print reliability in the Roto-JET is assured since it uses Xaar 1003 printheads with Xaar’s unique TF (ink recirculation) Technology. Ink is re-circulated within the printhead directly past the back of the nozzle during drop ejection at “the highest flow rates in the industry.” This ensures that the Xaar 1003 operates reliably even in the harshest industrial environments. “We’re delighted to be launching the Roto-JET at this year’s Pack Expo show which has traditionally been one of our most productive shows”, said Eric Henzie, Director of Marketing at EPS. “This is a great opportunity to showcase our inkjet solutions alongside the major players in the packaging industry. The Roto-JET is attracting interest from a variety of market segments interested in its compact footprint, best-in-class industrial grade components, and high throughput – which set this machine apart in the eyes of our customers.”
