Epson has announced the release of its WorkForce Enterprise WF-C20600, WF-C20750 and WF-C21000 printers, complementing its business inkjet portfolio for in-plant printing. Epson’s Generation 2 (which replaces the WF-C20590) includes three colour multi-function printers with speeds of 60 ppm (WF-C20600), 75 ppm (WF-C20750) and 100 ppm (WF-C21000). Additional finishing capabilities – including improved stapling, stacking and hole punching – are available via their built-in professional staple finisher. Finishing speeds have been doubled compared to the preceding generation, said the OEM. Plus, a booklet finisher is another new feature of these multi-function devices.
The Epson WorkForce Enterprise WF-C20600, for example, will continue to provide scalability for customers through third-party print solutions, as well as compatibility with Epson Remote Services, so users can effectively monitor print activity. Epson’s Precision Core technology facilitates low-cost, low-energy operation and consistently high quality output. Precision Core printheads use piezoelectric actuators to mechanically fire ink through the nozzles, whereas conventional thermal inkjet printers use heat before firing. In addition, even before the ink passes through the nozzles, it undergoes a period of cooling to properly adhere to the page. Precision Core printheads enable the ink to meet the page more accurately and with less ink waste “than traditional thermal inkjet competitors” Epson pointed out. The absence of heat also makes these printheads more durable. These features, in addition to their ability to accept a wide range of substrates, make these new printers ideal for boosting productivity in busy office environments.
