Global Inkjet Systems (GIS), a worldwide leader in industrial inkjet software and system components, is now offering its flexible drive electronics for the new Konica Minolta KM1800i and KM1024i double-head printhead modules. The pre-aligned modules enable 720-dpi (KM1024i SAE-C for aqueous inks) and 1,200-dpi (KM1800i SHC-C for solvent, oil and UV curable inks) printing, and are used in the Konica Minolta Nassenger SP-1 single-pass textile printer and the KM-1/ KM-C cut sheet printer respectively. Konica Minolta is now offering these Modules to OEM machine builders and system integrators.
The GIS HIB-KM-1024i and HIB-KM-1800i Head Interface Boards, which each drive two printheads, complement the new modules and provide complete printhead and waveform control. “The trend to higher-resolution, single-pass continues, and these new modules enable integrators of KM heads to build higher capability systems – and the Modules are commercially proven in KM’s own production systems,” said Debbie Thorp, Business Development Director at GIS.
Founded in 2006, Global Inkjet Systems has rapidly expanded to become a leading developer of critical components for OEM system builders.
Its products – including software, drive electronics, user interfaces and ink system components – are designed to work reliably in production environments and are used in industrial printing applications such as product decoration, ceramics, décor, labels, textiles, wide-format graphics, 3D printing and materials deposition.
