Polaroid’s new Tabletop Photo Studio Kit.

The low-cost, all-in-one photo studio kit provides the necessary accessories for perfecting product shots of food, jewelry and other items in the studio or on the go, said Polaroid. Each kit comes with two output lights, a tripod stand, four backdrops, three diffuser screens, and a carrying case. When assembled, the kit’s lightbox tent is 16 inches high and 16 inches long with a 22-inch diagonal, accommodating most tabletop product shoots with optimal light softening. The four background colours – red, blue, black and white – let photographers change backdrops to better match the product and desired setting. The included tripod can accommodate compact cameras and most SLRs. The standard and pro kit options determine the type of lighting shipped with each kit. The tabletop photo studio standard version comes with two changeable output lights (soft yellow 5500k), while the tabletop photo studio pro version ships with two power LED lights. Additional convenience options including remote controls can also be ordered for dimming or controlling the LEDs.
Optimized for travel, it folds down into a lightweight carrying case for easier transport. Designed for fast set-up, the self-assembling unit collapses into a handbag-sized 1 x 13 x 16 inches, and then opens into a fixed open-face position for studio use with dimensions of 15 inches wide and 15 inches tall with a 15-inch diagonal – ideal for photographing small to medium-sized items. Its matte-finish, hard polypropylene material requires just a few fasteners to be snapped together prior to use. The unit ships with a powerful LED light strip with the power of 36 super-bright (5500K) LED bulbs, delivering reliable flicker-free light. The unit, said Polaroid, “is the innovative answer to taking professional quality photos with a DSLR camera, smartphone or tablet anywhere, anytime thanks to a removable power cord that works with a universal plug – making this kit a true global travel companion for photographers.”
