The Sun Automation Group (Glen Arm, MD), a global leader in the corrugated industry, has released its new Spectrum Print Unit for Inside Printing. The new Spectrum Print Unit enables single-pass printing on both sides of a corrugated box. The inside printing allows for custom messaging and branding on the inside of the box that can be used to leverage additional advertising space or other messaging. The print unit can be retrofitted seamlessly to just about any machine, said the OEM, and features servo controls that “make it easy to integrate the solution with ease and maximum productivity.” The print unit also comes equipped with a Harmonic Drive Digital Register that provides maintenance-free operation and registration adjustments within .001” – all of which greatly reduce costly downtime. Its SunTrac Vacuum Transfer system, which comes standard, permits accurate sheet control, allowing for more productivity and optimal production speeds. For those needing quick drying time, there’s also room available for an inter-station drying unit.
